Course Memo
This class will focus on developing a multi-perspectival lens for religious education in
Christian congregations by exploring : (a) classic and contemporary theories in
teaching and learning in conversation with (b) ways in which race/class/gender/
sexuality/ethnicity/ability and religious education intersect, thus requiring (c)
innovative practices that tap into multiple intelligences in the classroom as well as (d)
curricula for youth and adult learning that reflect these practices.
